Crisis management : what steps to undertake to be prepared.

Description

"Les crises de demain sont souvent le refus des questions d’aujourd’hui" - the quote by Patrick Lagadec, a leading French researcher, is still relevant in view of the immense upheavals of recent years. The world has changed radically since January 2020: Covid19, the Ukrainian crisis, soaring commodity prices, shortages of essential parts and equipment, cyber-attacks... Companies of all sizes are confronted repeatedly and at an unprecedented pace with multiple crises, which by their cumulative effects can seriously weaken a company. The objective of crisis management is to react quickly and effectively to minimise damage and position the company for recovery once the current crisis has passed, by anticipating potential problems and creating the necessary procedures on how the company will react when problems arise. The training will present the 6 key elements of effective crisis management: 1. Assessment of potential risks 2. Determining the impact of these risks on the company's operations 3. Identification of contingencies. 4. Development of the crisis management plan. 5. Familiarise users with the management plan. 6. Updating the plan. Objectives: - To shorten and mitigate the impact of a crisis situation - Protect employees and others involved - Preserve operations and productivity as much as possible - Protect the reputation of a company.
